One day, a boy was exploring the forest when he stumbled upon a mysterious lamp. Curiosity got the best of him, so he picked up the lamp and wiped away the dirt. Suddenly, smoke started billowing out of the lamp's opening. As he took a step back, he noticed a figure taking shape within the swirling smoke - it was a Genie. Unsure of what to do, he hesitated, wondering if he should run, hide, or stay completely still. Then, a calming voice broke the silence. The Genie addressed the boy, informing him that he was there to serve and would grant him three wishes.
The boy was taken aback, rendered speechless by his incredible luck. After gathering his thoughts, he carefully considered what his wishes should be. His first wish was for good health for himself and his family. His second wish was for financial security for them. Finally, with gratitude, he turned to the Genie and said, “For my third wish, I’d like to give it to someone else.”
The Genie, amused, laughed and revealed that he had been waiting thousands of years for someone to pass this ultimate test of selflessness. Impressed by the boy’s generosity and altruism, the Genie declared that the boy would now possess the power to grant wishes to others. Overwhelmed with emotion, the boy thanked the Genie and hurried home.
He soon encountered a child in a wheelchair and granted the wish for the child to walk. Next, he visited a person who was gravely ill and granted their wish to be healed. As the boy continued to grant wishes, he discovered that the joy of having his own wishes fulfilled was nothing compared to the profound satisfaction of making others' dreams come true.
